My name is Sydney Shores and I am a third-year Graphic Design major at the University of Georgia. I was born and raised in Grayson, Georgia where I was taught by my mom from a young age to love art.

Since I was around 5 I started making things— painting, drawing, making cards, I did it all. My mom introduced me to what would eventually become my passion. After that I only grew in my love and appreciation for art. In High School I realized my passion for art was more than just a hobby, it could potentially be my career.

Being in the Graphic Design program at UGA now for almost two years has been a life changing experience. I am surrounded everyday by top notch professors and incredible fellow design students. When it comes to my work, I tend to focus on creating light hearted, simplistic designs. However, I love the chance to create things out of my comfort zone. Recently in class we have been learning animation on Adobe After Effects. Learning these new skills excites me everyday and I can’t wait to see what upcoming projects I create.

Outside of design, I love to spend time outside, travel, learn Tik Tok dance videos with my friends, and just make memories.
